....aaaaand Five Finger Discount earns its PG-13 rating for the first time. :c

I still need to do some work with this sequence, but I'm probably not going to touch it again for a week or two.

Thierry received a number of nasty threats during the course of his career as an FCLD inspector, but tried his hardest to hide the evidence from Emile (who was still young and impressionable at the time.) At one point, someone killed his cat and made a spectacle of dragging it up to the front steps of his house. <:c He didn't have any time to take care of the situation since Emile ran ahead on the way home.

This probably had some sort of scarring effect upon him, though I doubt he'd ever admit it.

Poor kitty...

Do they have normal cats or like supernatural cats that live with them?

Hey, I have a brilliant idea! There's this neat blog dedicated to manga and comic book news called idrawpurdy.blogspot.com. Maybe you should check it out. :D

Ohhhh my GOD. okay, okay this is bad but when I FIRST saw this page I was excited because it looked so spic and span and pretty and professional and lovely and good. Then I saw what was going on and omg poor Emile. D:> I absolutely love the expressions, in each panel, and the way you laid them out. Especially the first one, with Emile's tiny stick legs over in the leg and the trail of blood up to the cat.

But Emile's wounded chipmunk look is just heartbreaking. I don't think it's saddening so much as shocking, and at first that could come off as, how you said that you have trouble with sad scenes? I think this is just a whole other level of it. I find it sort of more 'tearjerking' that Emile has that response.

needless to say it's superb. wonderful work. I can't express how much I love this page. >n<
